This is the director's portfolio site of me, Emnet Mulugeta.
With a love for most things hiphop, some things 80’s and all things Brazil, I tend to incorporate elegant imagery and visual effects in ways of storytelling. With roots in Eritrea on the east coast of Africa, I've spent most my time in Sweden. Starting in the industry as a designer, animator and compositor, I quickly rose to the role of creative director at Visual Art, a design & production company based in Stockholm, creating numerous TV-network identity packages. This transitioned into commercial direction, where I've directed over 30 idents for the TV3-network across Europe, as well as promoes for the FX-series Nip/Tuck and HBO, all of which received Promax awards. Since 2002 I've been fortunate to have worked with creative teams at agencies DDB, Ogilvy, JWT, McCann, Leo Burnett creating spots for high profile brands such as Sony, HBO, Volvo, Sony Ericsson, AEG, LG Electronics, Carlsberg, Nokia, Brother among others.
I'm currently represented internationally through Visual Art by:
